What the answer means
The calculator subtracts your current weight from your starting weight, then divides that change by your starting weight. For example, moving from 200 lb to 180 lb is a 10% loss.
If you add a goal, the calculator compares how far you have moved with the full distance from your starting weight to that goal. It does not choose a goal for you.
Add a start date and an end date to see the average change per week across that period. It describes what already happened. It does not predict what will happen next or decide whether a pace is right for you.
