TB-500 is a code name for material sold as thymosin beta-4, a protein your body releases where you are injured. The FDA says what is sold under the name is a seven-amino-acid piece of that protein. People buy it for the same injuries as BPC-157 — tendon, muscle and joint — and often buy the two together.

The full protein has been given to people in trials for eye, wound and heart conditions. The short piece sold as TB-500 has not. The FDA states it found no record of any person receiving it, by any route.

No completed controlled human trial has shown which dose works for TB-500. There is no study-backed human dosing program to publish. Animal quantities are not converted into a human recommendation.

So nobody has drawn blood from a person on it and measured anything, testosterone included. An unmeasured hormone is not an unaffected one.

Does TB500 affect the heart?

No safety study of the fragment has watched anyone’s heart, because no safety study of the fragment exists. The heart evidence people cite belongs to the whole protein, dripped into a vein under monitoring after a heart attack.

The page does carry one heart-adjacent warning worth reading twice. Pushing new blood-vessel growth is not always a good thing, and nobody has checked it for safety at vial-sized quantities.

How long can you take TB 500 for?

No published human course exists, so there is no duration to report. The longest run in any species is four weeks of daily abdominal injections in thirty-two rats after tendon surgery.

Two registered human programs proposed milligram-scale infusions, and both were withdrawn without enrolling anyone. A 2010 paper reports one of those ladders as carried out. The registry for the same doses at the same site says it never enrolled a person.
