How to reconstitute Epitalon 10 mg

Put 1 mL of bacteriostatic water into the 10 mg Epitalon vial. That makes 10.00 mg/mL. A 0.5 mg dose is then 5.0 units on a U-100 syringe.

That volume is the one that lands the draw on a syringe line, so the reading can be checked by eye. More water makes a weaker mix and a bigger draw. Less water makes a stronger mix and a smaller one. The amount of Epitalon in the glass never changes. Only the number of marks it takes does.

What is Epitalon?

Epitalon is a peptide four amino acids long, made in Leningrad in the 1980s. It copies the amino-acid makeup of an extract of cow pineal gland.

Straight arithmetic: concentration = 10 mg ÷ water, and 1 U-100 unit = 0.01 mL. The example column shows the math at 0.5 mg; it is not a dose recommendation.

Which volume to use is a practical choice rather than a dose. Pick the one that puts your draw somewhere you can actually read it on the syringe. The flags in the last column mark where that fails. “Hard to measure” means the draw is too small to judge by eye. “Won’t fit” means it is bigger than one U-100 syringe holds.

Epitalon 10 mg vial: how much water to add. Each row is what that amount draws on a U-100 syringe. 1 mL makes 10.00 mg/mL, or 100 mcg a unit, and 0.5 mg is 5 units. 2 mL makes 5.00 mg/mL, or 50 mcg a unit, and 0.5 mg is 10 units. 3 mL makes 3.33 mg/mL, or 33.33 mcg a unit, and 0.5 mg is 15 units. How many units is a documented dose from this vial?

The table above uses one worked example. These are the published quantities, converted into marks on a U-100 barrel at each water volume for a 10 mg vial. Where a quantity was never studied by injection, the row says so.

One vial, and the studied amount arrived by a different route

The quantity this table converts is the only whole-body amount published for a person taking this peptide, and it was held under the tongue rather than injected. The single vial size makes the water column the only choice this page offers.

A conversion is not a bridge between routes

The sum on this page turns a mass into a volume, correctly. It cannot tell you that the same mass under the skin does what it did under the tongue, because how much of a peptide reaches the blood depends on the way it goes in.

The other human study injected behind the eye, which is further still from a syringe in the abdomen. So this page converts a real number without any published measurement of the route it converts it for.

One vial size means the only decision here is water

Most compounds on this site offer a ladder of strengths, and choosing among them is half the arithmetic. This one has a single listed size, so everything on the page turns on how much liquid the powder goes into.

All three volumes land the plunger on a printed line, so none of them is wrong to pick. The choice is between a small firm push and a larger, slower one.

Twenty draws against a twenty-day course

The published course ran once daily for twenty days, and the worked vial happens to contain twenty draws. That numerical match is a coincidence, not proof that the vial was designed for the course.

It is also the wrong course. That twenty-day run was taken by mouth. Nothing published pairs this vial with a length of time, and the page gives no figure for how long the mixed liquid keeps.

How do you mix it, step by step?

  1. Wipe both stoppers with an alcohol swab and let them dry.
  2. Draw up the water volume you picked from the table.
  3. Let the water run slowly down the inside wall of the Epitalon vial, rather than jetting it onto the powder.
  4. Swirl gently until it dissolves. Shaking damages peptides.
  5. Store it as the dispensing label directs. What happens after mixing differs by product — some labels direct against refrigerating the mixed solution at all.
