How to reconstitute Sermorelin 5 mg

Put 2 mL of bacteriostatic water into the 5 mg Sermorelin vial. That makes 2.50 mg/mL. A 500 mcg dose is then 20.0 units on a U-100 syringe.

That volume is the one that lands the draw on a syringe line, so the reading can be checked by eye. More water makes a weaker mix and a bigger draw. Less water makes a stronger mix and a smaller one. The amount of Sermorelin in the glass never changes. Only the number of marks it takes does.

What is Sermorelin?

Sermorelin is the first 29 amino acids of the hormone that prompts growth hormone release. It is the shortest piece that still does the job at the pituitary.

Straight arithmetic: concentration = 5 mg ÷ water, and 1 U-100 unit = 0.01 mL. The example column shows the math at 500 mcg; it is not a dose recommendation.

Which volume to use is a practical choice rather than a dose. Pick the one that puts your draw somewhere you can actually read it on the syringe. The flags in the last column mark where that fails. “Hard to measure” means the draw is too small to judge by eye. “Won’t fit” means it is bigger than one U-100 syringe holds.

How many units is a documented dose from this vial?

The table above uses one worked example. These are the published quantities, converted into marks on a U-100 barrel at each water volume for a 5 mg vial. Where a quantity was never studied by injection, the row says so.

The vial contains ten worked doses, and both water options land exactly on syringe lines. It is the simplest of the four sermorelin vial sizes to measure.

Both volumes read as whole numbers

Each listed volume puts the draw on a graduation, and both sit in the comfortable middle stretch of a U-100 barrel.

That does not survive the rest of the ladder. Three of sermorelin’s four sizes have at least one volume that lands between marks, and one has no clean reading at all.

The vial size is the thing most likely to change

Sermorelin reaches people through compounding pharmacies, which fill it in sizes chosen to suit a course rather than a product line. The strength can differ between one order and the next while the amount stays the same.

A unit count carried over from a previous vial is then wrong, and nothing about the new glass announces it. This page is written for one size only, and the title says which.

Most published amounts scale with weight

The quantities on this page come from trials rather than current labeling. Most of them scale with body weight, so they do not convert into a draw on their own.

The one adult study using a flat amount ran two weeks and measured hormone levels. That is evidence about hormones, not a number to fill a syringe to.

How do you mix it, step by step?

  1. Wipe both stoppers with an alcohol swab and let them dry.
  2. Draw up the water volume you picked from the table.
  3. Let the water run slowly down the inside wall of the Sermorelin vial, rather than jetting it onto the powder.
  4. Swirl gently until it dissolves. Shaking damages peptides.
  5. Store it as the dispensing label directs. What happens after mixing differs by product — some labels direct against refrigerating the mixed solution at all.

What not to mix with sermorelin?

Nobody has published an interaction list for sermorelin, so this site does not carry one. The approved product left the market years ago, and no current labeling exists for any use.

Mixing two powders in one syringe is a compatibility question, and no published data answers it for this peptide. Building a list from what the molecule does, or from what a similar peptide does, would mean inventing safety information.

How long will 5mg of sermorelin last?

Ten draws at the 500 micrograms in the table, which is the low arm of the one adult trial on this page. That trial gave it twice daily, so ten draws is five days at its rate.

The trial ran for two weeks, but it did not report a storage window for a mixed vial. The result is only a dose count, not a schedule.

How much water do I mix with sermorelin?

With 2 mL or 3 mL of water, 500 micrograms equals 20 units or 30 units. Both land on printed syringe lines.

The vial strength is the part most likely to move. Compounding pharmacies fill sermorelin at sizes chosen for a course, so the next vial may not be 5 mg. A unit count carried over from this page would then be wrong.

How much sermorelin to inject daily?

No label sets a daily amount, because the approved product was withdrawn and no readable labeling survived on an FDA host.

Children with growth failure got 30 micrograms per kilogram once daily. Older men got 0.5 or 1 mg twice daily for two weeks, and only the higher arm moved growth hormone. The figure circulating today, 200 to 300 micrograms once daily, matches neither.
