Mazdutide is a once-weekly injection that works on two hormone receptors at once, GLP-1 and glucagon. It is the same class idea as tirzepatide, with a different second target. In China it is prescribed for weight and for type 2 diabetes. Everywhere else it is sold online to people who want the newest weight-loss injection.

The trial program is large, and every trial in it was run in China. Two phase 3 trials compared it against placebo and reported substantial weight reduction. An independent review of nine trials says longer-term, multi-ethnic data is still needed. Nobody outside a Chinese pharmacy is getting the approved product.

One vial, and the direction of caution reverses as the dose rises

Only one mazdutide vial is published here, because no source this project reached names a strength for it at all. At the amount the tool opens on, both water volumes work and both land on a syringe line. Above that amount, one of them stops fitting the barrel.

Each listed water volume gives a draw that lands on a syringe line, with nothing to judge between two lines. That comes from these exact numbers, not from the compound itself.

It stops holding the moment the amount changes. The trials went well above what the tool opens on, and the clean reading does not survive the climb.

The higher trial amounts run past the end of a barrel

Mix this vial into the larger listed volume and the upper studied amounts need more liquid than a U-100 syringe holds. The top one needs close to two barrels.

So the habit of adding water for an easier read works against you here as the amount rises. The stronger mix is the one that keeps an injection to a single draw.

The mistake: reading the vial strength as a product listing

Most vial ladders on this site come from what sellers converge on. This one does not, because nothing checkable names a strength for mazdutide.

The size here was chosen to cover every amount the trials used, and it is a worked example rather than a claim that such a vial is sold. Anyone holding a different strength should type it in.

The only figure on this site a pharmacy somewhere will actually dispense

Every other unapproved compound in this tool is unapproved everywhere. Mazdutide is not. It is licensed and dispensed in China, so the amount typed here has a standing nothing else in this registry shares. That standing stops at the border, and the rest of this page is about what it does and does not buy you.

An approval is a regulator reading a dossier and agreeing to a product, a use and a group of patients. China did that. The agency that governs an American pharmacy has not, and holds no document about this compound at all.

Nobody here has opened the label

An approved product comes with an approved schedule, and that schedule exists in Chinese. This project has not read it, cannot reach it at an address it could check, and will not transcribe a document nobody opened.

The milligrams are large enough to break the usual habit

Most of this tool rewards adding water. A weaker solution spreads a small mass across more barrel, and small amounts get easier to read that way.

One strength, because no source names one

Compounds here usually get their vial ladder from what sellers converge on, corroborated across catalogs. Nothing this project reached names a strength for this compound at all.

How the math works

  1. Concentration — divide the amount in the vial by the water you added: mg ÷ mL = mg/mL. This tells you how many mg are in each mL.
  2. Volume — the dose divided by that concentration: dose ÷ (mg/mL) = mL.
  3. Units — on a U-100 syringe one unit is 0.01 mL, so mL × 100 = units. A U-40 unit is 0.025 mL, so the wrong barrel is a 2.5× error. That is why the calculator asks which one you have.
  4. Rounding gap — the exact draw against the nearest syringe line: |exact − nearest line| ÷ exact × 100 = % difference.
