Want an easier syringe number?
This setup is already easy to read. Changing the water between 0.5 and 3 mL would not put 300 mcg closer to a line on this U-100 syringe.
Adding more water makes the mixture less concentrated, so the same dose uses more syringe units. It does not change how much peptide is in the vial.
This setup is in the address bar — every input is part of the link.
Educational math, not medical advice — dosing decisions belong to a licensed clinician. The tabs above also plan a schedule week by week and count how many doses one vial holds.
How to use the calculator
STEP 1
Enter the amount in the vial
Use the total amount printed on the vial, in mg.
STEP 2
Enter the water you added
Use the amount of water added to that vial, in mL.
STEP 3
Enter the dose you want to convert
Choose mg or mcg, then match the result to your syringe.
Ipamorelin is a peptide five amino acids long. It makes the pituitary gland let out a pulse of growth hormone. Clinics and sellers offer it for muscle gain, fat loss, deeper sleep and faster recovery — the things people expect of growth hormone.
The pulse itself is measured and real. What follows from the pulse is not. The two completed trials tested how quickly the gut restarted after bowel surgery, and neither one beat placebo. No trial has measured muscle, fat, sleep or aging.
Examples using a 5 mg Ipamorelin vial
Each row starts with the same 5 mg vial and changes only the amount of water. More water makes the mixture less concentrated, so the same dose uses more syringe units.

The vial, water and dose shown here are the calculator’s starting example for Ipamorelin. Replace them with your own values. Every result in the table is calculated from those inputs.
Drawn from once a week at 300 mcg, a 5 mg vial yields 16 doses — about 16.0 weeks of supply. No cited source says how long the mixed vial keeps, so no storage window is shown.
Studied in a vein, per kilogram; sold for under the skin, flat
Ipamorelin’s completed trials put it into a vein at amounts set by body weight. The vial is sold for a flat dose under the skin. The evidence and the vial never meet.

There is no subcutaneous amount to convert
The two completed trials ran in hospital, after bowel surgery. The drug went into a vein, at a dose fixed to each patient’s weight. Nothing published injected it under the skin.
So the flat microgram figures attached to this peptide everywhere online did not come out of those trials. They are practice, and this page converts them without endorsing them.
The draws land in a comfortable band
One vial size and two water volumes give two concentrations. The conventional amount reads somewhere between a dozen and a couple of dozen units on both.
That is a forgiving stretch of a U-100 barrel. The draw covers enough marks that being one mark out is a small fraction of it. Ipamorelin is one of the easier vials on this site to measure, whatever else is true of it.
The mistake: reading selective as a safety margin
The word follows this peptide everywhere, and it earned it. The design goal was a growth-hormone pulse without the spillover the older compounds caused.
But selective describes which hormones move. It says nothing about how much is reasonable to draw, and nothing about what happens over months. It is a fact about the molecule’s aim, not about the number in the syringe.
The route with the trials on it is the route with the harm report on it
Ipamorelin’s human amounts went into a vein, in hospital, scaled to body weight. Easy to miss is that the same route carries the one published report of serious harm. That report is part of why a federal agency put this peptide in a restricted category.

What the compounding listing actually says
FDA lists ipamorelin acetate in an interim category for bulk substances that may present a significant safety risk. The stated concerns are immune reactions by certain routes, the peptide clumping together, and impurities left from making it.
What was studied, for how long, and what it showed
The trials tested how quickly the gut restarts after bowel surgery. Patients were inpatients. Dosing ran for up to a week from the first day after the operation.
The circulating schedule empties this vial in days
The reported range here is a flat amount taken two or three times a day. The tool starts at the top of it.
A third human study, in units this page could not carry
There is one more piece of human work here. It escalated doses in healthy men, infused over minutes. Its amounts are quoted in a chemical unit rather than a mass.
A prescription vocabulary around a vial nobody prescribed
Clinics offer this peptide widely, in the words used for prescribed medicine. The regulatory record does not carry that language. It is not part of any approved drug product.
Units to dose at 1.67 mg/mL
Mix 5 mg into 3 mL and one U-100 unit carries 16.7 mcg. The table shows how much peptide is in each numbered syringe line. These are conversion examples, not suggested doses.

How the math works
Concentration — divide the amount in the vial by the water you added: mg ÷ mL = mg/mL. This tells you how many mg are in each mL.
Volume — the dose divided by that concentration: dose ÷ (mg/mL) = mL.
Units — on a U-100 syringe one unit is 0.01 mL, so mL × 100 = units. A U-40 unit is 0.025 mL, so the wrong barrel is a 2.5× error. That is why the calculator asks which one you have.
Rounding gap — the exact draw against the nearest syringe line: |exact − nearest line| ÷ exact × 100 = % difference.

How much BAC water to reconstitute 5mg of Ipamorelin?
2 mL or 3 mL, and both land in a forgiving stretch of the barrel. The 5 mg vial gives 2.5 mg/mL or 1.67 mg/mL, so 300 micrograms draws 12 or 18 units.
Neither reading is hard to hit, which makes this one of the easier vials here to measure. It has nothing to do with whether the amount is right. Every dose in the completed trials went into a vein, scaled to body weight.
How do I reconstitute 10 mg of Ipamorelin?
The same way, with half the readability. A 10 mg vial packs twice the powder into the same water, so 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL and 300 micrograms falls to 6 units.
At 3 mL it reads 9 units. Both are shorter draws than the 5 mg vial gives at either volume. Only the 5 mg vial is offered as a preset because it was the consistently documented size.
How to reconstitute 2mg of ipamorelin?
Of the three strengths these questions ask about, 2 mg makes the weakest solution. It reads 1 mg/mL at 2 mL of water, and 0.67 mg/mL at 3 mL. The same 300 micrograms then draws 30 or 45 units.
Long draws are easy to read, and this vial empties in six of them. That trade sits behind every vial-size question on the site. Small vial, comfortable measurement, short supply.
How long will a 5mg vial of Ipamorelin last?
Sixteen draws of 300 micrograms, since 5 mg is 5000 micrograms and the water leaves that count alone. The circulating pattern is two or three injections a day, which turns sixteen draws into roughly five to eight days.
That pattern comes from a review of what people give themselves, not from a trial. The two completed phase 2 trials ran up to seven days of intravenous dosing in hospital after bowel surgery. Nothing longer has been published.
